The genre- Paramore's music has generally been regarded as "emo“ and "pop punk". A fusion music genre that combines elements of punk rock with pop music.
- Alternative rock which typically merges pop melodies with speedy punk tempos, chord changes and loud guitars.
- Contemporary pop punk bands as having "a radio friendly sheen to their music, but still maintaining much of the speed and attitude of classic punk rock".
The audience
- Paramore's target audience are teenagers that like rock music although some may criticise that they do not make 'proper' rock music as it has a pop/rock feel to it.
