What is the song
+Made+by+IFTK.png)
The song
- It was released on October 21, 2005 as the second single from their debut album, All We Know Is Falling.
- The song was written by Hayley Williams and Josh Farro.
- It failed to chart in the United States, however, it was released in Kerrang!s "Class of '06" compilation CD, calling it one of the best rock tracks of that year.
- The song is about the fact that love is taken for granted, and how most relationships are in emergency status. It is also about Williams' witnessing her parents' argument and failing marriage as a child.
- During an interview with the February 2008 edition of Alternative Press, Williams said, "I remember actually walking out the door with my mom that night and standing in between my parents and screaming "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!"

- Contemporary pop punk bands as having "a radio friendly sheen to their music, but still maintaining much of the speed and attitude of classic punk rock".
The audience
- Paramore's target audience are teenagers that like rock music although some may criticise that they do not make 'proper' rock music as it has a pop/rock feel to it.

Who is Paramore
Paramore the band
- Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York.
- The group released its debut album All We Know Is Falling in 2005, and its second album Riot! in 2007.
- "The band isn't just a short pop-punk girl with red hair and a spunky attitude. Their music is like them, it's aged differently. It's sped up, and slowed down. It's emo without being whiny, or bratty. Almost a very literal anti-Avril Lavigne.“ - Joshua Martin.
- Alternative Press magazine had commented that the band was "young sounding", while consistently being "honest.” Paramore's first album All We Know is Falling had an arguably more "formulaic pop punk" sound that was "delivered particularly well"[and the combination of the two had created a "refined rock infused pop/punk album."The band's second release, Riot! was said to explore a 'diverse range of styles," however, not straying far from "their signature sound."

We have decided to choose a song performed by the band Paramore, as their genre of music was in an area that majority of the group were particularly unfamiliar with and therefore challenging us as a group and it would also improve our researching skills because we would have to do a lot of research into the rock/emo/alternative rock genre in order to understand the conventions of that specific genre.
